PWWA was founded in May of 2014 is a Somalia-wide network of Somali women writers and women artists. It has over 140 members from all over Somalia. It also had 4 regional well-functioning, highly equipped offices.
Our Mission
Promote Somali women’s cultural participation through writing and by means of providing a platform where women can express themselves and can support related to writing, publishing, to attend a literary event abroad.
Our Vision
As an arts-producer, our vision is to bring together, with a vast variety of realms of experience and expertise, together the local and our own life experiences, into a Somali conversation that is dynamic, ambitious, honest, and often homey.
